Coffee Love

We set up an infrared sensor tied into a Teleo Controller board and then collected data on how much we love our coffee machines. After a day's worth of collection, we scrubbed it, tied it into Processing and sped up time as an axis in order to watch the data animate.

Often data comes to us and it is our responsibility to understand it and determine its best potential outcome. Determining what data to collect and how to collect it helped to quickly drive our conversation towards the display. This really emphasized that the more you know about the data and its environment the easier it is to derive relevant graphic representation. Nothing can substitute for subject matter expertise and creativity.
